Brakes that squeal after a week of not driving. Salt air and humidity put a rust film on the rotors, and it is only a problem if the pads are already glazed from stop-and-go on Palmetto Park. The squeal stage is around $200. The grinding stage, once it has chewed into the rotors, is closer to $450.
